You are encouraged to consult with the system designer, specialist, and/or manufacturer for recommendations about monitoring, testing, and conducting possible modifications to your system. You will need to work with a fire sprinkler contractor to evaluate your existing fire sprinkler system to confirm the hydraulic demands of the system are not adversely impacted.  If your sprinkler contractor has any questions or areas of concern on fire sprinkler requirements, you should work with the local fire marshal.

If you have concerns, you are encouraged to consult with the system designer, specialist, and/or manufacturer for recommendations about testing and possible modifications. Any recommended system testing and modifications are the owner’s responsibility.

High water pressure poses several problems including increased risk of system failure, difficulty operating system valves and risk of property damage as well as safety hazards to AWWD employees and others. The project will reduce water pressures which will ease the strain on the AWWD’s water distribution infrastructure.

General Notification

Please be advised that during periods when the commercial sprinkler system is temporarily out of service due to construction or maintenance, a fire watch must be conducted to ensure the safety of the premises and its occupants. This precaution is critical to mitigate fire risks and adhere to local fire safety regulations. Tenants are responsible for implementing fire watch protocols, which may include appointing qualified personnel to monitor the area for fire hazards continuously. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe environment during this time.
